Epson's exceptional UltraChrome™ K3 eight-color ink set dramatically improves the quality of both color and black-and-white prints by using new color pigment technology and three unique levels of black. The advanced MicroPiezo® AMC™ printhead features eight channels, a cutting-edge ink-repelling coating that dramatically reduces nozzle clogging, and Active Meniscus Control™ technology to precisely control the curvature of every ink droplet for extreme precision and accuracy. Accuphoto™ HD screening technology uses a radical new algorithm for determining dot placement, resulting in exceptional photographic image quality, even in bi-directional and lower resolution print modes. Epson® PreciseColor™ Manufacturing brings a new level of consistency to the printing process, eliminating the need for internal calibration devices. Advanced Black and White Printing technology produces darkroom-quality black and white prints with no color cast or color crossover, setting the standard for sellable-quality neutral and toned black and white prints. Automatic printhead alignment and nozzle check technology aligns ink channels, detects clogs, and cleans the printhead, virtually eliminating streaking and banding due to printhead clogging. High-capacity, intelligent ink system automatically tracks ink levels and usage rates and allows ink cartridges to be replaced on the fly, even during the middle of a job, without a loss in quality or production time. 2.5 inch, backlit LCD screen delivers direct printer control and operational status for spectacular ease-of-use. Four built-in paper paths including roll feed, cut-sheet tray, front-top manual feed, and a straight-through front manual feed for handling media up to 1.5 mm thick provide incredible flexibility and limitless possibilities.
